DSS Invites Ex-CBN Deputy Governor, Mailafia Over Boko Haram Claims
The Department of State Security (DSS) has invited the former deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Dr. Obadiah Mailafia to appear at its Jos office regarding claims he made about Boko Haram.
The former CBN chief confirmed the invitation to newsmen saying the DSS invited him to appear at their Jos office on Wednesday.
Mailafia said the invitation is connected to an interview he granted to an Abuja radio station on Monday regarding the activities of Boko Haram and their plans in Nigeria.
Speaking about the killings in Southern Kaduna, Mailafia said Boko Haram planned to murder prominent Nigerians in urban centres after they have finished killing Nigerians in the villages.
He said Boko Haram planned to cause a civil war in Nigeria by 2022 and they used the lockdown period to mobilise and gather weapons and fighters to achieve their nefarious aims.
He also claimed that one of the Northern Governors is the leader of the Terrorist Group in Nigeria.
