Heads Will Roll If Anything Happens To Magu – Muslim Group
The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) has reacted to the attack on the farmhouse of Ibrahim Magu, acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
A police sergeant was killed after some gunmen broke into the farm in Abuja, on Tuesday.
In a statement signed by Ishaq Akintola, director, MURIC, the group said “heads must roll if anything happens Magu”.
“Unknown gunmen have again attacked the house of the acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr. Ibrahim Magu,” he said.
“The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) expresses shock at this wanton waste of life and the desperation to assassinate the EFCC boss.
“Heads must roll if anything happens to Magu”.
Akintola also charged the federal government to launch full-proof protection for Magu, sayng “powerful people” were after his life.
“Being the third attempt on the life of the EFCC boss this year alone, there is no iota of doubt… that some powerful people just want him out of the way by hook or by crook.
“The handwriting is on the wall and the federal government must give marching orders to the nation’s security agencies to leave no stone unturned in the mission to protect Magu.
“We believe it is high time FG read the riot act to the security agencies”.

Magu cannot fight this battle alone. The legislature, national assembly and the judiciary, law courts must join hands to tackle corruption as it is done the world over. So far there contributions have been nothing but dismal. For Magu, his performance has been nothing but excellent. He has within his short stay turned the EFCC to a feared strong institution. Of course, it is a known fact that weak institutions are the bane of the Nigerian society.
