21,780 Out Of 33,000 Kaduna Teachers Fail Primary 4 Exam

Kaduna State Governor, nasir el-Rufai

About 21,780 out of 33,000 teachers failed the primary four test administered to test their competence by the Kaduna State government.

The state is therefore shopping for 25,000 new teachers as one of the plans to restore dignity and quality to education.

Governor Nasir el-Rufai of Kaduna State unveiled the planned recruitment when he received a World Bank’s delegation in Kaduna on Monday.

“We tested our 33,000 primary school teachers, we gave them primary four examination and required they must get at least 75 per cent but I am sad to announce that 66 per cent of them failed to get the requirements.

“The hiring of teachers in the past was politicized and we intend to change that by bringing in young and qualified primary school teachers to restore the dignity of education in the state,” the governor said.

He stressed that teachers would be redeployed across the state to balance the issue of teacher-pupil ratio.

“We have a challenge with the teacher-pupil ratio in the urban schools; there is concentration of teachers that are not needed.

‘’In some local government areas, it’s a teacher pupil ratio of 1-9 while in some places it’s 1-100,” he said.

The governor said that in a bid to improve the education sector, the school Directors decided to enrol their children in public schools starting from this academic session.

Speaking earlier, the World Bank representative, Dr Kunle Adekola, expressed appreciation to the state for investing in education and for the priority given to the girl child.

“This state has demonstrated and supported us to achieve our goals,” he said.

    Message:

    “IN A TIME LIKE THIS”.

    2 Timothy 3:1-5 KJV
    1. This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
    2. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
    3. Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
    4. Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
    5. Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

We are living in what is commonly referred to, as the injury time. We are in the last days brethren, and as such, we cannot afford to be careless with our Christian faith. The Bible says, in the last days, perilous times shall come, and a careful look around clearly shows that evil machinations are on the increase, on an hourly basis. Hardly you tune into the news media – radio, television, internet, social media, than you hear of killings, fightings, different kinds of diseases and epidemic outbreaks, wars and threats of wars, etc. But for the grace of God, one would even be scared, to walk out of his own vicinity and neighborhood as a result of the strange, terrible and frightening occurrences, in the world we live in today.

Our opening scriptures gives us insight into some of the things that would happen in the last days, and so many of them are happening in quick succession before our very eyes. Today, we see pride and arrogance on display, hypocrisy everywhere, lack of love for others, hence people can afford to betray and kill others, even close friends and relatives, without the fear of God. I just read on social media, how a father, killed his only son recently, for ritual purposes, to get rich. You hardly can trust anyone these days, even in the house of God, as people make promises they know they can never keep to, while some even go to the extent of swearing with the Name of the Almighty God, in an attempt to try to convince those they are lying to, in order to get a favour. The Bible also says, having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof. No wonder a lot of so called Servants of the Lord today, go to align themselves with secret cults and societies, to obtain demonic powers, which they use in manipulating and deceiving their ignorant followers, just to enrich themselves, while they still hypocritically call the Name of Jesus, to deceive. The Bible says, from such, turn away!

We are privileged to have read the events that took place during the time of Noah, followed by that of Sodom and Gomorrah. These were supposed to be lessons for us, and to guide us in the way we live our lives, when we see similar events taking place, but unfortunately, our generation seem not to have learnt any lessons. We are daily living our lives, as though we have no hope beyond this perishing world. The Bible says, if only in this life, we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable! {1 Corinthians 15:19}.

In a time like this, what does the Almighty God, expect from you and me? A rededicated life. A life of righteousness and holiness. A life of service unto Him. A life of purpose and sincerity. A life of genuine agape love and humility. A life of respect to authority and submissiveness. A life totally dedicated and lived in the fear of the Almighty God. A life of earnest prayers and supplications, both for self, the Church of God, His Word, and the entire world, that they might be saved. A life totally dedicated to the study and meditation on the Word of God. A life of regular fellowship with other brethren, and the Trinity. A life dedicated to the propagation of the gospel of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, to the unsaved.

Are you there, still living your life outside Christ, now is the accepted time, today is the day of salvation, repent now, and accept Jesus Christ, into your hearts, as your Lord and personal Saviour, so that your name can be written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. In a time like this, it is quite risky for anyone to continue in the life of sin and hypocrisy, or to serve other gods. The Bible tells us in {John 3:16-17}, that God so loved the World, that He gave His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, that whosoever believes in Him, should not perish, but have everlasting life. It went further to tell us that God Almighty, did not send His Son, to condemn the world, but that through Him, you and I, might be saved. And Jesus, declared during His earthly ministry, that He is the Way, the Truth and the Life, no one can get to the Father, the Almighty God, except through Him {John 14:6}. Therefore, in a time like this, you need to urgently accept Jesus Christ, into your hearts, as your Lord and personal Saviour, so that your names, can be written in the Lamb’s Book of Life, and so that you can have the hope of spending your eternity with Christ Jesus, in His Kingdom.

I pray that the Almighty God, will help us to be wise, and to live the type of lives that are worthy and acceptable to Him, and that qualifies us to enter into His eternal rest in glory, when Christ returns, in Jesus Mighty Name, amen!

Are you surprised? No! I am not. Its rather an improvement. It used to unsaid but now screamed in bill boards and characters that education is ‘haram’. Yet they sit in command of highly technical agencies & parastatals. How can you be asleep day to night and expect the work done? Restructure Nigeria & water will find its level.

ONLY THOSE WHO DON’T KNOW THE HISTORY OF NIGERIA LOVE NIGERIA:

I get amused at us when we insist we fight corruption. For goodness sake, our very existence as a country is being sustained by the Ethnicity of Corruption! How on earth do we fight ourselves?

Some criminals planned coups against the country. What did we do? We eulogized and made them “heroes”! Muritala Mohammed committed genocide and we placed him on our Naira notes and named an international airport after him. Sani Abacha ruined us but we named a stadium and numerous streets after him. The one from Daura committed a crime against the state, we rewarded him with Elder statemanship and made him president once more. Babangida committed a crime against the state and not only did we name national monuments after him, we go to him for advise on how to run a country! A criminal like Gowon wasted our time for 9yrs and now, he’s a revered elder stateman who “prays” for the country after supervising the unnecessary death of millions. They stole our people constitution and presented us with a fraud and we sing “Hosanna” like some zombies!

Our well-known criminals have been greatly rewarded. The proceeds of corruption have been mind-blowing! We have been programmed to understand that crime pays, and pays far better than MMM. Corruption has been encoded in our DNA. We eulogize the corrupt on a daily basis. To now turn around and mouth empty words of fighting corruption, is so ridiculous that it makes me laugh and weep in tandem.

We may keep deceiving ourselves though, but we ain’t fighting nada! To fight corruption, we must dismantle the corrupt structures and punish those that entrenched it. Those who have profited handsomely from corruption cannot tell us about corruption! They should shove that nonsense up a place where the sun doesn’t shine and stop making noise already!
