Asking Price Set As £50m Premier League Star Wants Man Utd Move
Crystal Palace have reportedly set their asking price for Aaron Wan-Bissaka at £50million with the player wanting a move to Manchester United.
With a near £18million swoop for Swansea winger Dan James recently confirmed, United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has turned his attentions towards reinforcing his defence.
Wan-Bissaka has been the full-back strongest linked with a move to Old Trafford as the Norwegian begins his search to recruit a long-term successor to Antonio Valencia and Ashley Young at right-back.
The Red Devils reportedly saw an opening bid of £40million rejected, with Palace said to be ready to demand a world-record fee for a full-back if he were to leave Selhurst Park this summer.
With a number of other key positions to strengthen – most notably in goal and in midfield – Palace’s sky-high valuation for Wan-Bissaka gives United with something of a transfer headache.
However, Sky Sports News provide some hope for Ed Woodward and co. by stating that the south London club would listen to offers of £50million for their prized asset.
They apparently still value the player at around £70million however offers placed over £50m would at least bring them to the negotiating table.
Their report goes on to claim that Wan-Bissaka wants a move to United this summer, something which could work very heavily in Solskjaer’s favour.
