Man Utd Prepare January Bid For €40m Serie A Star
Manchester United have made contact with the agent of Parma sensation Dejan Kulusevski, but face competition from two Italian giants, a respected journalist claims.
Kulusevski has been one of the breakout stars in Serie A this season having moved to Parma on loan from Atalanta, getting three goals and five assists from 14 Serie A appearances.
Clubs across Europe are on alert as a result, and Gazzetta Dello Sport‘s Nicolo Schira says that Man Utd and Inter Milan had meetings with the Swedish star’s agent last week.
Talks appear to have been positive, with Schira affirming that both clubs want to sign the 19-year-old in January.
Atalanta officials have admitted that they would not be able to stand in Kulusevski’s way if a big club came in with a bid, but it is claimed it would take around €40m to tempt them into selling.
Inter are not United’s only competition for the midfielder, though, with Schira claiming that Juventus want to block any rival bids and snap up the player next summer instead.
Kulusevski has revealed that he is a Chelsea fan, and there has been positive news for the Blues this morning, with the Court of Arbitration for Sport confirming that they will be able to sign players in January after their transfer ban was lifted.
