Cristiano Ronaldo Reaches 200 Million Followers On Instagram — The 1st Person In The World To Reach The Landmark

Cristiano Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo has become the first person on the planet to get 200 million followers on Instagram, beating both Ariana Grande and Selena Gomez to the landmark as the world’s most followed account.

The Juventus forward might not be everyone’s cup of tea when it comes to playing football, they might prefer Lionel Messi, or because of his perceived arrogance his personality, or the one you’ve imagined, might not be your favourite thing but apparently his pictures are what everyone likes to see.

Ronaldo, January, became the most followed person on Insta, overtaking Ariana Grande, and now the five time Ballon d’Or winner is the first person to 200 million followers!

Recording artist Grande is second with 173 million followers and Gomez, another singer loved by a lot of people, is third with 167 million people taking a regular look of her account.

When it comes to footballers, it’s no surprise that Neymar and Lionel Messi are his closest rivals, although admittedly nowhere near. The Brazilian has 132 million, whilst the Barca forward has 141 million followers.

The social media site is thought to have around 1 billion users which means that around a 20% of the platforms users are following the five times Champions League winner.
